[:fr]Nous avions envie de monter la Combe Grède, mais en même temps, nous avions envie de partir depuis les Savagnières. C’est pourquoi, nous avons commencé par monter en direction de la Métairie des Plânes avant de descendre au fond de la combe en passant par l’Ilsach. Ce faisant, on rejoint le milieu de la Combe Grède, au-dessus du premier verrou rocheux. On évite aussi la première partie de la combe, un peu moins spectaculaire que la deuxième.

Après une montée, raide par endroit, on se retrouve littéralement au pied du mur. La première échelle est très courte et ne fait que surmonter une petite paroi. La seconde est un peu plus longue et permet, par la rive gauche, de gagner à nouveau le fond de la combe. C’est peu après cet endroit que l’on se trouve dans un cirque rocheux duquel on se demande comment on va réussir à sortir. En fait, le sentier part sur la gauche pour monter par quelques lacets à travers la pente raide. Un peu plus haut, alors que l’on croit que l’on va sortir de la Combe Grède, un dernier ressaut doit encore être surmonté pour déboucher dans un terrain plat au Pré aux Auges.

Pour monter au Chasseral, il faut alors suivre le fond d’un petit vallon débouchant sur la route, près de la Métairie de Saint-Jean. On traverse alors deux fois la route pour suivre un sentier, un peu raboteux, prenant en écharpe toute la pente pour rejoindre la crête tout près de l’Hôtel du Chasseral. Il suffit alors de suivre le bon kilomètre de route pour atteindre le sommet. Le signal géodésique signalant le sommet se trouve juste à côté de la grande tour de télécommunication.

Pour le retour, nous avions opté de passer près du Petit Chasseral et de la Métairie de Morat pour descendre le monotone vallon donnant sur le Pré aux Auges. De là, un sentier traversant la pente en légère montée, permet d’atteindre les pâturages se trouvant au-dessus de la Métairie des Plânes. A cet endroit, il vaut la peine de prendre un petit sentier pour atteindre la Corne. Cet endroit, promontoire rocheux se trouvant en face du Mont Soleil, offre une magnifique vue sur cette partie du Vallon de Saint-Imier.

We wanted to go up to the Combe Grède, but at the same time we wanted to start from the Savagnières. That is why we started by going up towards the Métairie des Plânes and then down into the Combe Grède via the Ilsach. This way, we joined the middle of the Combe Grède, above the first rocky outcrop. We also avoided the first part of the Combe, which is not as spectacular as the second part.

After a climb, which is steep in places, we found ourselves literally at the foot of the wall. The first ladder is very short and only overcomes a small rock face. The second ladder is a little taller and allowed us, by the left bank, to return to the bottom of the Combe. It is just after this point that we found ourselves in a rocky circle and wondered how we were going to get out. In fact, the path goes to the left and climbs in a series of switchbacks up the steep slope. A little higher up, as we thought we were going to get out of the Combe Grède, a final outcrop had to be still overcome to reach a flat area at the Pré aux Auges.

To go up to the Chasseral, we then followed the bottom of a small valley that leads to the road, near the Métairie de Saint-Jean. We then crossed the road twice to follow a path, which is a little rough, that climbs diagonally up the slope to reach the crest near the Hôtel du Chasseral. All that is left to do is follow the road for the last kilometer to reach the summit. The geodetic signal indicating the summit is located just next to the large telecommunications tower.

For the return, we had decided to pass near the Petit Chasseral and the Métairie de Morat to go down the monotonous valley leading to the Pré aux Auges. From there, a path that climbs diagonally up the slope allowed us to reach the pastures above the Métairie des Plânes. At this point, it is worth taking a small path to reach the Corne. This rocky outcrop, which is opposite Mont Soleil, offers a magnificent view of this part of the Vallon de Saint-Imier.

Wir wollten die Combe Grède hinauf, aber wir wollten auch von den Savagnières aus starten. Deshalb sind wir zuerst in Richtung Métairie des Plânes hinaufgestiegen und dann über den Ilsach hinunter in die Combe Grède. So umgeht man den ersten Teil der Combe, der nicht ganz so spektakulär ist wie der zweite Teil.

Nach einem teilweise steilen Aufstieg steht man buchstäblich vor einer Wand. Die erste Leiter ist sehr kurz und überwindet nur eine kleine Felswand. Die zweite Leiter ist etwas höher und ermöglicht es, über die linke Seite wieder in den Grund der Combe zu gelangen. Etwa in der Nähe dieser Stelle befindet man sich in einem Felsenkessel, aus dem man sich fragt, wie man herauskommen soll. Der Weg führt nämlich nach links hinauf, wo man über einige Serpentinen den steilen Hang hinaufsteigt. Etwas höher, wenn man schon glaubt, dass man aus der Combe Grède heraus ist, muss man noch eine letzte Steilstufe überwinden, um auf eine flache Ebene beim Pré aux Auges zu gelangen.

Um zum Chasseral hinaufzusteigen, muss man dann dem Grund eines kleinen Tals folgen, das auf die Strasse bei der Métairie de Saint-Jean mündet. Man überquert die Strasse zweimal und folgt einem etwas steinigen Pfad, der den ganzen Hang hinauf bis zum Kamm in der Nähe des Hotels Chasseral. Von dort aus muss man nur noch dem Strassenverlauf bis zum Gipfel folgen. Das geodätische Signal, das den Gipfel markiert, befindet sich direkt neben dem grossen Telekommunikationsmast.

Für den Rückweg haben wir uns für den Weg über den Petit Chasseral und die Métairie de Morat entschieden, um dann das langweilige Tal hinab zum Pré aux Auges zu wandern. Von dort aus führt ein Pfad, der den Hang hinaufführt, zu den Weiden oberhalb der Métairie des Plânes. An dieser Stelle lohnt es sich, einen kleinen Pfad zu folgen, um zur Corne zu gelangen. Diese Felsnase, die dem Mont Soleil gegenüberliegt, bietet eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf diesen Teil des Vallons de Saint-Imier.
