Là, nous avions accompli une courte randonnée pratiquement tout en descente menant depuis la Baumgartenalpe jusqu’à Sonderdach. Il y a quelques années, nous avions effectué la montée depuis Bezau en direction de la Baumgartenalpe. Toutefois, dans la montée, le temps avait changé et il avait commencé à faire froid, raison pour laquelle nous avions repris le téléphérique à la station intermédiaire de Sonderdach. Nous avions donc eu l’envie de faire la partie manquante.

Depuis l’arrivée du téléphérique, on peut suivre un bon chemin passant par la Niederalpe et manant à la Wildmoosalpe. En vue de cette dernière, nous avions encore continué un bout afin de pouvoir contempler la plaine marécageuse près de la Stongenalpe.

Le retour vers le Sonderdach s’effectue également le long d’un bon sentier permettant de traverser des lieux très variés entre pâturages et forêts.

Au Sonderdachvorsäss, on ne manquera pas de remarquer une enseigne mentionnant le nom de Toni Innauer. Ce dernier était un sauteur à ski de renom, champion olympique à Lake Placid. I avait dû stopper brutalement sa carrière suite à une grave chute à Saint-Moritz.

There we had completed a short hike that was almost all downhill from Baumgartenalpe to Sonderdach. A few years ago, we hiked up from Bezau to Baumgartenalpe. However, on the way up, the weather had changed, and it had become cold, so we had taken the cable car from Sonderdach, the intermediate station. We therefore wanted to complete the missing part.

From the top cable car station, you can follow a good path that leads past Niederalpe to Wildmoosalpe. We continued a little further past Wildmoosalpe to be able to look out over the marshy plain near Stongenalpe.

The return to Sonderdach also follows a good path that takes you through a very varied landscape of meadows and forests.

At Sonderdachvorsäss, you will notice a sign bearing the name of Toni Innauer. He was a well-known ski jumper and Olympic champion in Lake Placid. He had to end his career abruptly after a serious fall in St. Moritz.

Dort hatten wir eine kurze Wanderung fast nur bergab zurückgelegt, von der Baumgartenalpe bis Sonderdach. Vor einigen Jahren waren wir von Bezau aus zur Baumgartenalpe hinaufgewandert. Auf dem Weg hinauf hatte sich das Wetter jedoch geändert und es war kalt geworden, weshalb wir in Sonderdach die Zwischenstation der Gondelbahn benutzt hatten. Wir hatten also Lust bekommen, den fehlenden Teil zu wandern.

Von der Bergstation aus kann man einem guten Weg entlang der Niederalpe bis zur Wildmoosalpe folgen. Auf dem Weg dorthin waren wir noch ein Stück weitergewandert, um die Moorlandschaft bei der Stongenalpe zu betrachten.

Der Rückweg nach Sonderdach führt ebenfalls entlang eines guten Weges, der durch sehr abwechslungsreiche Landschaften mit Wiesen und Wäldern führt.

Beim Sonderdachvorsäss wird man nicht umhinkommen, ein Schild mit dem Namen Toni Innauer zu bemerken. Dieser war ein bekannter Skispringer und Olympiasieger in Lake Placid. Er musste seine Karriere nach einem schweren Sturz in St. Moritz abrupt beenden.
