At the beginning of the 1990s, when I started to be interested by the profession of Mountain Leader, there was no professional certification in Switzerland. This is why I performed the training in France. Thus, in 1994, I obtained the “Brevet d’Etat d’Alpinisme, option Accompagnateur en Moyenne Montagne”.
As this training, at that time, did not include the “snow covered terrain” part, I completed this additional qualification at the beginning of 1996. It was after this qualification that I founded Destination Montagne in July 1996 .
Subsequently, in 2012 I took the exams to obtain the Federal Diploma in Switzerland. In 2016, I took the additional course for obtaining the French State Diploma.
My basic training is in the technical and scientific field (I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences).
My main profession is in the field of IT (outsourcing services on IBM Mainframes).
