Selon sa description, ils avaient suivi la route pour gagner Cevio depuis Bosco/Gurin. A l’heure actuelle, un bon nombre de sentiers permettent d’éviter à prendre la route. Il faut toutefois mentionner que les embranchements ne sont pas toujours faciles à trouver. J’en ai fait l’expérience à Cerentino, Collinasca et Linescio. Dans ces villages, il faut vraiment avoir l’oeil rivé sur la carte… sinon on risque bien de rater le départ du sentier.

Pour le retour, les protagonistes avaient à disposition la Valmaggina, chemin de fer à voie étroite qui parcourait la Valle Maggia entre Ponte Brolla et Bignasco. Cette ligne avait été abandonnée en 1965 au profit des bus. Il reste encore quelques reliques bien visibles: ponts en acier à Visletto et Ponte Brolla, tunnel près de Visletto et murs tout au long de la vallée.[:en]Last day in the footsteps of S. According to her description, they followed the road to reach Cevio from Bosco/Gurin. Currently, a number of paths make it possible to avoid taking the road. Gemäss ihrer Beschreibung waren sie der Strasse gefolgt, um von Bosco/Gurin nach Cevio zu gelangen. Heute ist durch eine Vielfalt von Pfade möglich, die Strasse zu meiden. Es sollte jedoch erwähnt werden, dass bei Gabelungen, der richtige Weg nicht immer leicht zu finden ist. Ich habe dies in Cerentino, Collinasca und Linescio erlebt. In diesen Dörfern muss man wirklich die Karte vor Auge behalten … sonst besteht die Gefahr, dass man den Anfang des Weges verpasst.
Für die Rückfahrt verfügten die Protagonisten über die Valmaggina, eine Schmalspurbahn, die durch das Valle Maggia zwischen Ponte Brolla und Bignasco führte. Diese Linie wurde 1965 zugunsten von Bussen aufgegeben. Es gibt noch einige deutlich sichtbare Relikte: Stahlbrücken in Visletto und Ponte Brolla, Tunnel in der Nähe von Visletto und Mauern entlang des Tals.[:]
