When we moved from Geneva, we thought we would lose sight of some of the particular flowers of the region, particularly the Dogtooth Violet. This Mediterranean flower has its range limit in the Geneva basin.
However, we did not count on the Chess Flowers, which are only found along the Doubs. Unlike the Dogtooth Violet, the Chess Flowers have a northern geographical range, as we saw them in large quantities in the area of Hamburg.
When we moved, we lost the opportunity to see the Dogtooth Violets, but gained the opportunity to see the Chess Flowers.
For this, we left the car park under the Brenets campsite to go to the Goudebas. After seeing the Chess Flowers, we did not just return to the car park, but went up to the Caroline and came back through Brenets.
